Maui, HI

Maui, the second largest island of the Hawaiian Islands, is the perfect tropical getaway.  Maui has an interesting mix of geology, topography, and climate that makes it especially unique and fascinating to visit.  Formed from the combined eruption of two volcanoes, Maui's landscape is matchless and remarkable.  Maui only has two seasons a year, which are characterized by mild, year-round temperatures.

Depending on which part of Maui you are interested in visiting, you can fly into one of three airports.  If you wish to see eastern Maui, you can fly into Hana Airport (HNM).  To visit central Maui, Kahului Airport (OGG) is the best option.  To reach western Maui, the perfect choice is Kapalua Airport (JHM).  Let help you book your flight today by visiting the following link: ( To book your hotel in any one of Maui's four dynamic cities, please visit's hotel section at: (

Maui is the perfect destination for nature lovers.  The island is home to a pristine rainforest that has remained untouched due to its challenging terrain.  Maui also offers the unique experience of whale watching.  Visitors during the winter months have the opportunity to watch Humpback whales as they migrate from Alaska's cold waters to Maui's warmer waters. suggests that you plan to visit one of Maui's four unique cities during your visit. The first city and the largest is Lahaina.  The original capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii, Lahaina has a grand historical heritage that is interesting to learn about first-hand.  You can visit the original fort of Lahaina that was built in 1831 that still has original walls and cannons.  The Baldwin House is also a must-see as it was the home of Reverend Dwight Baldwin who helped treat and save the people of Maui during the small epidemic of 1853.

A short drive from Lahaina rests the beach resort city of Kaanapali.  Many resorts, condominiums, and hotels have been built along the beach, offering ocean views as soon as you wake up in the morning.  As home to a number of hotels, Kaanapali has become a shopping district for tourists.  Additionally, Kaanapali has several immaculate golf courses, including two that were featured on the PGA Tour. recommends stopping in the city of Hana to see all that nature has to offer.  Visit the Haleakala National Park where you can see the incredible Haleakala Volcano and Haleakala Crater.  The Haleakala Crater is an enormous 6.99 miles across and almost 2,600 feet deep.  Within the park, there is a scenic drive with numerous overlooks that cannot be missed.  The park is also home to the impressive Haleakala Observatory, which takes advantage of the unusually clear skies that this 30,000 acre park produces due to the lack of light pollution.

Finally, drop by the small town of Haiku-Pauwela and bike, hike, or horseback ride on its many nature trails.  Located in the Pauwela Point Park, the Pauwela Lighthouse is a fascinating historical landmark.  The lighthouse was built in 1910 on land acquired from the Haiku Sugar Company.

With its black sand beaches and waterfalls, Maui is an absolutely gorgeous place to spend your vacation.  Between snorkeling, surfing, and shopping, you won't want to leave this tropical paradise!
